After a 30 minute torturous session on the treadmill, I decided that I needed a little direction and instruction. Like everybody, I googled, "How to run faster." Among the results were a book series called Run Lean Run Strong. Sold on the name and the $29 price tag, I digitally downloaded the books. Now there is a lot of information in the books but what I took away immediately was an easy to follow, 8 week program that touches all the muscle groups needed to improve running fitness in 3 weekly workouts of 20 minutes each. The key to running more comfortably is to improve overall muscle strength. I will continue to report back as I read through the books. Check it out.
